Hristo Kolev holds a masters degree in medical chemistry and is doing postgraduate studies in analytic chemistry at Sofia University. Born to be a scientist, Hristo finds his greatest inspiration in the interaction between fields and energy, regardless of whether this takes place under the microscope or in the night club. He works in the field of biosensors and organic semiconductors, and patented his work in 2010. After his victory in the FameLab competition he became a popular ambassador of science with a string of visits within the Cafe Scientifique, Bulgarian National Television’s Beautiful Science series and TEDx. His dream to take science’s beauty out of the lab and show it to people inspire him to make, hidden behind the nickname “Christobel” design and conceptual art based on scientific principles and phenomena.
